Genealogy is a Life-Saver. Literally.

Here's a daily dose of inspiration for you - the true story of how family history saved the lives of two twin boys suffering from a rare genetic disorder. If this doesn't inspire you to keep doing your genealogy, I don't know what will.

In what ways have you seen genealogy save lives - metaphorically, spiritually, or literally?

Be sure to catch new episodes of The Generations Project Season 2, Mondays at 7 and 10pm on BYUtv.org.

My wife and I watch "Who Do You Think You Are"(NBC) and frankly it is difficult to watch The Generations project and not make comparisons. We watched last night and we only lasted a minute or two before we lost interest. The problem with this program is that it is difficult to have any emotional attachment to people that you have selected to interview. No disrespect to their stories, these people and their lives. It's just hard to connect to someone we don't know. There is no curiosity factor to draw us into their story.

We both like the changes that are happening at BYU TV and the high production values. We'd like to see this show be successful, but right now it's not on our list of shows to watch.

I have found this show to be very involved and full of good ideas of places and ways to continue my own research. I haven't been watching byutv very much in the last couple of years but this show has made me start looking for other new and great shows on byutv.
I very much like the fact that these are real people and not your typical celebraties, this makes everything so much more real and the depth of your interviews and stories is much appreciated.
